Different hair. Same medium.
Okay, but who am I really?
I'm a psychic medium, obviously. You probably figured that part out considering the website you're currently on. But that's something I do. It's not the entirety of who I am.
I'm a mom. I'm a huge animal lover. I love trees probably more than a normal amount. I own an unreasonable number of wigs, as you may have gathered. I'm sarcastic, I swear, I laugh a lot, and I don't suddenly become a different person when I'm doing a reading.
And I definitely didn't grow up thinking, "You know what sounds fun? Talking to dead people for a living."
I first remember seeing Spirit when I was four years old, and it terrified me. This wasn't something I understood or knew what to do with. It certainly wasn't something I was trying to develop. Then my grandmother died when I was 29.
She was the woman I loved more than life itself, and I couldn't accept the idea that she simply left me here without her. Her death blew the doors off the spiritual world and changed everything I thought I knew about death. I became fascinated by mediumship. I wanted to understand it. I wanted to know where the people we love go and whether they can still reach us.
What I did not expect was to discover that I was a medium myself.
What I experienced in those early years could be overwhelming and sometimes frightening. My kids saw and heard things too. There were moments when I genuinely wondered why anyone would willingly choose this path. So for a while, I didn't. But Spirit didn't exactly disappear.

Years later, I found myself back in that world, except this time I was older, stronger, and understood something I hadn't before: I was allowed to have boundaries. My friends don't get to show up at my house unannounced at all hours of the day and night, and neither does Spirit. That changed everything.
I learned that I could open the door when I was ready and close it when I was done. I could experience this part of myself without allowing it to consume the rest of my life. And then, one October, things took another turn. The week before I gave my first real reading, I had a reading of my own with a medium I still know and love today. She talked to me about my gift and told me that someday I would be doing the work she was doing. I remember thinking, Sure. May next year sometime. Apparently, Spirit heard, "How about next Tuesday?"
The following week began eight friends coming to my house, about one a day. Nobody paid me. I had never scheduled a beginning and an end to communicating with Spirit before, and I wasn't even sure I could do it. So we winged it. And it fucking worked.
That was the beginning. I've learned a lot since those first readings, but the reason I continue doing this is actually pretty simple. I believe the people we love don't stop loving us because they die. Again and again, my experiences as a medium have shown me connections that feel bigger than death, transcend time, and sometimes are larger than anything I can explain.
I don't have to understand all of it to respect it. I just have to show up, listen, and pass along what I receive.
